Warranty coverage built for real-world driving.
Our extended warranty plans are designed to protect you from the real costs of mechanical breakdowns. Coverage ranges from essential powertrain protection to comprehensive mechanical and electric/hybrid system coverage, with roadside assistance and towing included on every tier.
The summaries below are for general information only. Exact eligibility, covered components, claim limits and exclusions are governed by the written warranty contract.
1 Star Warranty – Essential Powertrain
Entry-level protection focused on the main mechanical components that keep the vehicle moving.
- Engine: Engine block, cylinder heads and all internally lubricated parts when damaged from within (e.g. crankshaft and main bearings, connecting rods and bearings, camshafts, valves, pistons, rocker arms, oil pump, etc.).
- Transmission/Transaxle (RWD/FWD): All internal lubricated parts, torque converter, valve body and gear sets within the transmission housing.
- Differentials & Transfer Case: Differential housings and all internally lubricated parts, including auxiliary differentials on RWD/AWD/4WD vehicles.
- Roadside Assistance: Up to $50 per occurrence to a maximum of $250 per contract for winching, battery boosting, emergency fuel delivery (max. 10 L), flat tire coverage and vehicle entry assistance.
- Towing: Up to $50 per tow to a maximum of $200 per contract for towing due to a covered mechanical breakdown.
- Optional Seals & Gaskets: Add-on coverage for seals and gaskets that contain fluids and lubricants on covered components.
2 Star Warranty – Powertrain Plus
Builds on 1 Star with added coverage for key driving and braking systems, ideal for higher-mileage daily drivers.
- Includes all 1 Star powertrain items (engine, transmission/transaxle, differentials/transfer case).
- Diesel Surcharge: Coverage for components associated with diesel engines (where applicable).
- Plus Bundle: Selected components from the brake system (master cylinder, booster, proportioning valve, certain lines and cables), steering (rack and pinion, power steering pump and key linkage parts), front suspension (upper/lower ball joints and control arms) and fuel system (fuel pump, injectors and related parts).
- Turbocharger & Supercharger: OEM-installed units, housing and internally lubricated parts when damaged from within.
- Roadside & Towing: Same limits as 1 Star (up to $50 per event; $250 roadside and $200 towing maximum per contract).
- Optional Upgrades: Air conditioning, electrical components, car rental, trip interruption, electronic high-tech systems, ultra high-tech infotainment and zero-deductible options.
3 Star Warranty – Enhanced Component Coverage
Adds broader coverage for comfort, electrical and electronic systems, reducing surprise repair bills on modern vehicles.
- Includes 2 Star coverage for powertrain, diesel components, brake/steering/suspension bundle and forced induction.
- Seals & Gaskets: Coverage for seals and gaskets used to contain fluids/lubricants within covered parts.
- Air Conditioning: Compressor, condenser, clutch, evaporator and associated seals and gaskets.
- Electrical Components: Starter motor and solenoid, alternator, water pump and voltage regulator.
- Electronic High Tech: ABS/traction control modules and related components, plus select high-tech electronic systems (keyless entry, control modules, etc.), with optional extended coverage for additional sensors and wiring harnesses.
- Additional Systems: Coverage expands to include body and interior hardware, fuel delivery components, cooling system parts and diagnostic charges for the first hour on covered repairs. Optional wear-and-tear coverage and zero-deductible options are available.
4 Star Warranty – Comprehensive Mechanical Plan
A strong balance of cost and protection, covering most major mechanical and electrical systems found in everyday vehicles.
- Includes 3 Star engine, drivetrain and high-tech coverage, plus additional mechanical and electrical components.
- Brakes & Steering: Expanded coverage for brake hydraulics, proportioning valves, backing plates, springs, lines and ABS control modules, along with steering gear, pump, linkage and related components.
- Suspension & Fuel System: Upper/lower control arms, ball joints, stabilizer bars/links and selected rear suspension components; fuel tank, sending unit, metal fuel lines and vacuum pump.
- Comfort & Electronics: A/C system, high-tech/extended electronics, body interior and hardware (door locks, trunk/fuel door releases), and more.
- Ancillary Benefits: Car rental and trip interruption reimbursement (subject to daily and aggregate limits), diagnostic coverage for the first hour, and optional wear-and-tear and zero-deductible features.
5 Star Warranty – Premium Coverage
Our most inclusive mechanical and electronic protection for conventional vehicles, designed to approximate an “all major components covered” style of protection.
- Enhanced Engine Coverage: All 4 Star engine items plus additional components such as intake and exhaust manifolds, timing belt tensioner and cover, harmonic balancer, engine mounts and related seals and gaskets used to contain fluids.
- Extended Transmission/Transaxle & Transfer Case: Internal components plus selected external sensors, mounts, oil pan and additional seals and gaskets as described in the contract.
- Differential & Driveline Extended: Locking hubs, drive shafts, CV joints, bearings and actuators, including all lubricants and seals listed under the plan.
- Full High-Tech & Comfort Systems: Air conditioning, heating, ABS/traction control, extended electronics, infotainment and driver-assist components listed in the warranty.
- Ancillary Protection: Comprehensive seals and gaskets coverage, roadside assistance, towing, car rental and trip interruption (up to stated daily and contract maximums), diagnostic coverage and optional wear-and-tear and zero-deductible features are available.
Electric / Hybrid Warranty – High-Voltage Protection
Dedicated coverage for modern electric and hybrid vehicles, layered on top of extensive mechanical and electronic protection coverage.
- Electric/Hybrid System: Battery charger, electric motor, high-voltage cables, power controller/inverter, hybrid battery, radiator, engine control unit (ECU), cooling fans, battery cooling and temperature management components, and related control modules.
- Conventional Systems: Engine, transmission, transaxle, differentials/transfer case and other major drivetrain components as outlined under the 5 Star plan.
- High-Tech & Comfort: Turbocharger/ supercharger (where applicable), air conditioning and climate control, electrical and electronic high-tech/extended components, plus body/interior hardware.
- Supporting Systems: Brake, steering, suspension, fuel delivery (for hybrids), cooling system components and diagnostics for covered repairs.
- Roadside & Extra Benefits: Roadside assistance, towing, car rental, trip interruption, wear-and-tear options and zero-deductible options, within the limits stated in the contract.
How claims and reimbursements work
- Covered breakdowns only: Repairs and services must be related to a component and failure covered under your selected plan.
- Use licensed repair facilities: Work must be completed by qualified technicians following the terms of the contract and recognized labour guides.
- Receipts are required: Roadside, towing, rental, trip interruption and other reimbursable expenses must be supported by valid receipts and submitted within the timelines outlined in the warranty.
- Monetary limits apply: Per occurrence, per day and per contract maximums apply to benefits such as roadside assistance, towing, car rental and trip interruption.
- Exclusions: Wear items, pre-existing conditions, lack of maintenance and non-covered components are excluded. Full details are available in the written contract.
